CMSNE is the New England Chapter of the CASE MANAGEMENT SOCIETY OF AMERICA (CMSA), one of the fastest growing networks of professionals committed to providing education and support to all case managers regardless of educational background and professional alliance. CMSNE has been recognized by CMSA for their outstanding efforts in membership development. Members of CMSNE include Case Management professionals from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island and Maine.   Learn more about who CMSA members are.

Who Can Join?

You do not need to be a case manage to join CMSA, just a desire to expand your opportunities and knowledge.

Category A – Case Manager Members – individuals involved in the field of Case Management. Requirements include a health professional degree, current license or national certification in the health or human service profess.

Category B – Associate Members – individuals actively providing Case Management related services and not qualified as a Case Manager Member.
Please note: CMSA members are NOT required to have a CCM Certification.

Why Become a Member?

Membership with CMSA National and CMSNE will help promote your growth through educational and networking opportunities. To become a member of CMSNE, you must first become a member of CMSA National. The dues are $170 for National, and $35 for the local chapter.

CMSA holds monthly webinars on current trends and topics relevant to our Case Managers. FREE to members, with at least 1 CE available each month, these webinars cover a wide range of subject matter from Advanced Care Planning to Value-Based Care.

CMSA literally set the Standards for Case Management. CMSA Standards of Professional Case Management Practice identify and address important foundational knowledge, skills, and competencies for the professional case manager. Members receive a 50% discount on the 32-hour CE course.

Live Educational and Networking Opportunities

On-Demand Educational Opportunities

With almost 400 members CMSNE offers over 25 educational programs throughout the New England Region each year. More members mean more networking and resource opportunities, which only strengthens our knowledge base. Programs are offered live and virtually in identified regions (ME, NH, RI and MA) as well as in identified specialty practices and arenas. Educational Programs are at a reduced fee for CMSNE members.

Our annual conferences offer nationally renown case management experts and chance to network with peers and regional health care leaders.

CMSNE website has won national recognition by CMSA for it’s use of Technology. Our website offers to our membership the opportunity to view upcoming educational programs and to register directly online. Job postings for positions in the New England area can also be viewed, as well as members are entitled to post a position for free.

Newsletter

CMSNE’s newsletter is distributed to membership electronically on a bimonthly basis. The electronic blast provides a wide variety of information regarding educational programs, national news and events, job postings and items of interest to case management practice.

Scholarship and Case Manager of the Year

CMSNE has a well established scholarship fund which is available to members who have actively participated on CMSNE committees or attended CMSNE events. Funds can be utilized by members to further their education. CMSNE will provide up to 6 scholarships per year, not to exceed $500 each, total scholarships per year not to exceed $3,000. Each year CMSNE recognizes a member for their outstanding service to the chapter and the profession of case management. This recognition is awarded at our annual conference in the fall.
